This is probably the easiest recipe I've made to date! With only one-ingredient, you'll have a breeze making this delicious creamed honey. It's so simple and so delicious - you'll be surprised that little effort went into making this. It's a great alternative to store bought and sugary spreads.
This creamed honey can be used as a spread or topping on fruits, toasts, butters, and more!
Try this honey on a slice of my Homemade Sandwich Bread and sprinkle with some bananas and blueberries. It's absolutely delicious!

Equipment
I highly suggest using a KitchenAid Standing Mixer for this recipe. However, if you don't have one, you can use an electric hand mixer.
- 1 KitchenAid Standing Mixer or you can use a handheld electric mixer
You can find some of my favorite equipment here if you need any guidance!
Top tip
Always make creamed honey with raw, unpasteurized honey!
- Raw Honey - honey that has not undergone significant processing, like heating and filtering. It's extracted from the hive and may be strained to remove large particles but is not heated or filtered extensively, preserving its natural components.
- Unpasteurized Honey - honey that has not been subjected to the process of pasteurization, which involves heating the honey to a certain temperature to kill yeast cells and prevent fermentation.

Storage
- Cool and Dark Location: Store creamed honey in a cool and dark place. Exposure to sunlight and warmth can lead to changes in texture and flavor. A pantry or cupboard is an ideal location, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Airtight Container: Keep creamed honey in an airtight container. This helps prevent moisture and contaminants from affecting its quality. Glass jars or plastic containers with tight-sealing lids work well for storing creamed honey.
- Stable Temperature: Maintain a stable temperature for the storage area. Fluctuations in temperature can contribute to crystallization. The ideal temperature for storing creamed honey is around 50-70°F (10-21°C).
- Avoid Refrigeration: Refrigerating creamed honey is generally not necessary. In fact, refrigeration can accelerate crystallization and change the texture. Creamed honey is best enjoyed at room temperature, where it remains smooth and spreadable.
FAQ
Nope! Raw honey is the only ingredient needed for this one!
You can, but the whipping process will take longer as the mixing needs to break down those larger crystal pieces. If you're working with crystallized honey, I suggest whipping for 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye for color and consistency change.

Made this last night. Didn’t want the “hassle” of cleaning my mixer, so I pulled out my hand mixer. I let go of the side of the bowl for a split second and sprayed honey across my table, across my bread, across a jar of peanut butter and a cascade onto the floor. So much for minimal clean up. 🤣 My floor needed a good mopping anyway and we had a good laugh. The honey is absolutely outstanding! Thank you! ❤️
