Pecan Pie
Sweet & Delicious Pecan Pie Alright ya'll - let's make this Pecan Pie!
Ingredients
The Crust
- 2 cups flour
- 1 stick unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 tablespoon sugar ...2 tablespoon if you're sexy
- ½ cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon salt
The Filling
- 1 stick of butter melted
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 Large Eggs
- Splash of vanilla
- 1 cup pecans
- dash cinnamon
- dash all-purpose flour OPTIONAL: as needed to thicken filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and butter your cast iron pan. You're going to want to preheat your pan before putting the crust on it.
- In a large bowl, mix the ingredients for the Crust. Remember to work it with your hands. When everything is well mixed together, leave in a ball and put in the fridge to cool while you make the filling.
- In a medium bowl, stir the butter, honey, sugar, and eggs together for the filling. Once well mixed, add your splash of flour to thicken the filling and then pour in those pecans!
- Remove Crust from fridge and get ready to roll it out. Use a roller on a flat surface and fold the Crust into itself 2-3 times, rolling it flat in between folds.
- Get your preheated cast iron pan and let cool enough that you can put the Crust in without burning yourself.
- Cover the cast iron with the Crust, folding the outside as needed to make fit the pan.
- Pour filling into the Crust covered pan and spread evenly. Put in oven.
- Remove from oven after 30 minutes and let cool. Enjoy!!

This pie is 1000% my go to pie recipe now! My family loved it more than my own recipe. I don’t even like pecans but I loved this! Great job!

Hi, can you tell me what size cast iron you use?

It’s my first recipe by Hannah and I’m in love. Pecan pie isn’t so popular in the UK/Poland but it’s going to be a staple dessert in my home. Just remember a bit extra cinnamon if you are sexy. X
