Ingredients
-
11b ground chicken (or finely chopped chicken thighs)
-
1 small green cabbage, thinly sliced
-
1-2 carrots, shredded
-
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
-
3-4 green onions, sliced
-
2-3 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar
-
1-2 tsp honey
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tbsp butter
-
Sprinkle of Southern Magic Seasoning
Directions
1. Brown the chicken
In a large skillet, cook the chicken until golden and cooked through.
Season lightly with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Southern Magic.
2. Build the flavor
Add butter, garlic, and ginger. Let it get fragrant— this is where the magic starts.
3. Add the vegetables
Toss in cabbage and carrots.
Cook until just softened but still a little crisp (don't overcook-you want texture).
4. Sauce it
Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and sesame oil.
Let everything mingle for a few minutes.
5. Finish
Toss in green onions. Taste and adjust.
Add the egg (this is where the magic happens)
After your chicken and cabbage are done:
Push everything to the side of the pan (or use a separate skillet
Add a little butter or oil
Crack in your eggs and cook:
Sunny side up for a runny, saucy finish
Or over-easy if you want it slightly set but still jammy
4. Lightly salt the eggs
