Ingredients
Chicken Broth
- 4 pieces of garlic chopped
- ½ an onion chopped
- 2 tablespoon of butter
- 1 whole rotisserie chicken deboned (I suggest pulling the meat apart so you have shredded chicken pieces)
- 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups of bone broth or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of Pepper
- 1 tablespoon of Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- 1 tablespoon of All purpose seasoning
Dumplings
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of Garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of Onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of Baking powder
- 4 tablespoon of butter softened
- 1 cup of milk
Directions
In a sautee pan, add butter and let melt. Add in chopped garlic and onion. Cook until sauteed.
In a large pot, add heavy whipping cream. Then add your sauteed garlic and onion.
Add bone broth or chicken broth. Then add in rotisserie chicken pieces.
Add in pepper, garlic powder, salt, and all purpose seasoning to add flavor to your broth.
Put large pot on stove and cook on medium-high heat.
In a separate large bowl, prepare the dumplings.
Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, baking powder and butter. Massage the butter into the other ingredients.
Add milk and mix/fold with your hands.
Flour a flat surface to transfer the dumpling dough and roll it out.
Cut the dough into approximately 1 inch square pieces. You can make them whatever shape you want, just make sure they're large enough that you can enjoy them as pieces in your broth.
When the broth is at a boil over the stove, add in dumpling pieces. Make sure to keep stirring until the dumplings are done. Usually takes anywhere from 8-10 minutes to cook.
If the broth is too thick for your liking, add more bone/chicken broth to thin it out.
Add some salt and pepper for finishing touching and enjoy!
